For years Republicans have promised a property tax freeze in Wisconsin. But is not this shortsighted when the tax is already 3 times our neignboring states? Why freeze the property tax at high levels when you could eliminate the tax entirely by income taxing everyone in Wisconsin on all their income and a sales tax on all purchase? That does sound much fairer.
